Scott Schimpf

Chief Information Officer

As Chief Information Officer (CIO), Scott leads the Hardware Infrastructure, Information Security, End User Support, Software Release, and Database Administration teams at Aptarro. Scott’s emphasis is on innovation and keeping Aptarro on the forefront of new hardware and software trends. He has accomplished just that by architecting and managing the implementation of our active/active data centers. Scott is also the Aptarro ISO and is responsible for our HITRUST and FedRAMP certifications. As ISO, he is dedicated to keeping our systems and customer data secure.

Scott has 36 years of software development and IT management experience. In the 1990s, he was a core member of a Research & Development team that created a robust practice management solution for the legal market that is still used worldwide. In the early 2000s, Scott helped architect and develop one of the first online learning systems. Prior to joining Aptarro in 2010, he was the president of Relay Software for eight years. His previous experience was instrumental in bringing Aptarro solutions to the Software as a Service (SaaS) model and achieving our aggressive uptime availability goals.

Scott enjoys spending time with his family and friends in Tallahassee and traveling to include the North Georgia mountains. A trumpet section leader in the Marching Chiefs during his time at Florida State University, he can often be found playing in two local bands. As an avid car guy, Scott enjoys driving sports cars and is currently restoring a 1927 Ford Roadster.
